The Village situated at the distance of 8 km from the commercial capital of Western Assam 'Barpeta Road'. Barpeta Road is the sole centre of green vegetables in the entire North-east where a lions share is because of the crop-rich village Bilasipara's production. The inhabitants of the geographically vast area are very labourous but the main impediment to their growth was the lack of education,working round the clock, they got good harvest but never had the deserving value of their productions. communication was bad, small rains made potholes in whole path.but they continued labouring hard.idea of education couldn't reach their imaginations. Immoral works like gambling,loitering of some anti social groups paused as a barrier to the development of the village. Till 2000, only a few graduates were there in the villages but there was not as much awareness as it supposed to have. In 2001, for the first time, A student scored the star marks from the local government school. Already some of the young minds of the area established a private school. The school started providing quality education to the native children taking minimum fee. The Village had a fame in the field of sports in its adjoining villages.some of the sports lover organized cricket and football tournaments in every year. The village in sports gained wide fame from the time when the locals gathered to organised the All Assam Basis cricket tournament in the memory of the deceased local MLA Late Samsul Haque. The results of HSLC since 2001 has been glittering the village. first divisions,star,distinction marks brings firecrackers to the villages. People becoming socially,economically and politically conscious, they hardly miss out the daily news on Television. Everyone talks about their children's academic excellences. the illegal practices from the villages have been rooted out. National issues are also critically analysed in the tea stalls where the bogus land issues matters earlier happened to be the topic of discussion. The Village is fully connected with internet. Now one can see graduates in every nook and corner of the village.There are many Doctors,Engineers,Advocates in the village who is always there for the betterment and upliftment of the village.It is very nice to see the skyrocketing development of the village.Now if we say " we are from Bilasipara" rarely people inquires " Is it in Dhubri ?"
