Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE have announced that Eid Ul-Fitr in these countries will be celebrated on July 6. Authorities made the announcement on Monday evening after failing to sight the moon that marks the start of the three-day festival. The starting day varies every year and from country to country depending on geographical location. Eid-Ul-Fitr means "festival of breaking the fast" and marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. Traditionally, it is celebrated for three days and is an official holiday in all Muslim-majority countries. In India Eid-Ul-Fitr will celebrate on 7 July.
